Sharing A Passion for the Picturesque
As a scholar, educator, nationally-certified tour guide and award-winning author, I founded Picturesque Voyages as an open-air classroom, designed to engage lifelong learners and curious travelers. My tours reflect my experiences teaching art history in Paris for over 25 years. I am a specialist of the gardens at Versailles, studying how gardens historically connect all the arts, and bring this expertise to all my tours.
In addition to being an official partner of the Paris Office de Tourisme and a member of the Professional Association of French Guides (FNGIC), I have been appointed as one of the FNGIC delegates to the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG) to promote professional tour guiding across Europe.
Garden-Inspired Tours For Every Season. Picturesque Voyages signature tours visit exceptional gardens in Paris, and chateaus with remarkable gardens located outside of Paris. Our architectural walking tours and art museum tours delve deeply into how gardens influence paintings, architecture and urban design. Our sensorial tours explore where, how and why today’s chefs, designers, restaurateurs, and city planners are all inspired by gardens.
Rediscovering the Picturesque in Paris. For the first-time or the frequent visitor, I believe that it’s not only what you see, but how you learn about it that makes your experience more memorable. Each Picturesque Voyages tour tells the story of Paris then and now, with a specially curated iBook featuring archival images that help orient the tour. You can also add your own photos to create a personalized souvenir! Group size is limited to six people to encourage dialogue and interaction with one another.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for the picturesque with you.
Bon Voyages!
